From mid-day today UK airspace has been completely closed to traffic because of a very unusual set of natural circumstances. It is not known whether this will last a few hours, or even a few weeks. A huge plume of volcanic ash measuring two thirds the size of Great Britain is moving south east from a major volcanic eruption in Iceland. A huge earthquake in Western China has killed at least 400 people and many thousands more lay trapped beneath the rubble. 10,000 have been injured according to reports coming out of this area where houses are made from mud and straw. Thousands of injured people stand in the wind and freezing temperatures trying to find their loved ones...

Zhang Xuping may be a cold-blooded murderer, but the people of his country are asking the court for leniency on his behalf. Zhang was hired by a villager from Xiashuixi , a rural town in China, who was tired of being harassed by Li, and many other residents from Xiashuixi shared his sentiment.
