At only 25 years old, LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg was found dead in her Henderson, Nevada home on Sunday afternoon. The Clark County coroner's office has yet to disclose a cause of death, pending an investigation by Nevada police. USA Today reports that foul play has not immediately been ruled out just yet...

Amy Mickelson has recently fought an eleven month battle with breast cancer and was well enough to join husband Phil at Augusta, where the championship golfer donned his third green jacket. Among the media coverage of The Masters there has also been a raking up of old rumors in the reporting frenzy. It started with the now 'worn out' Tiger Woods scandal getting most of the limelight and went on to re-examine old, unsubstantiated accusations of infidelity around Phil and Amy Mickelson.

Alexis Pilkington, a veritable shining star of the All Country West Islip Girls Soccer Team, collapsed on the field during a NCAA Division IA Football Championship match. She was pronounced dead soon after. McAllister has been out since February, 2009 with a knee injury. According to The Sun Herald, he will not dress for the game and will instead serve as an honorary team captain. Even so, his return has large symbolic significance for fans of the Saints, as Deuce is often considered the most popular in the team's history. During the first quarter of the Cotton Bowl, Dexter McCluster, running back receiver for Mississippi, became the first player in the Southeastern Conference to surpass the 100 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving in the same season. Head football coach Mike Leach has been suspended from his post at Texas Tech University while the school looks into a complaint filed against him. Leach, who was Big 12 Coach of the Year last season, has been the head coach at Texas Tech since 2000, and signed a five year contract with them in February. However, this is not the first time this season that his coaching techniques have been questioned. He yelled at his players in October for listening to their "fat little girlfriends" and underestimating their opponents, the Aggies. Also, he forbid his players from having Twitter or Facebook pages after one of his players complained about him in a Twitter update. ...
